![]() Is it sombody that trains hard? trains well? trains for long periods of time? Is it sombody that understands the lingo? Is it sombody with great body conditioning? somone that can punch fast, hard? The simple answer is no! All those attributes all add to a person becoming a great martial artist true, but what im referring to is somthing very simple. Every student of any martial arts regardless of lineage or style, will at some point come up against the brick wall that is known as "The drop off point" This is when enthusiasm fades, training stops and excuses justify non action. Some, very few, do actually weather this storm of self doubt and finally emerge the other side of the tunnel with renewed vigour and zest. It is these few that really deserve the term "Great martial artist" The image above is of myself and the only surviving member of my original team, Chris ( Fei) who's unwavering support has helped Mendip Wing Chun Kuen become the great school that it is today. Anyone can dream the dream, only a few actually follow it through to completion. I salute all those that have read these words and know what it means to come back fighting.

Thank you Brother. The greatest enemy we may face is ourselves... there is always an enemy to fight- we must never surrender to apathy or lethargy.

If you dont train and the fire is allowed to go out....then the drop off point is probably going to come knocking on your door !! There are no exceptions to this rule
