I've always loved this photo, Wong looks so young, as does Ip Man. Makes you realise just how lucky we are to be associated to two of the greatest Martial artist of all time.
Why do it the way you do !!
Learning Wing Chun isn't a process of collecting zillions of new techniques,
Rather its a process of stripping away the unnecessary, so that the true beauty of the art can be revealed.
Mike attended an afterclass sess with Jim, Fei and myself..He trained nonstop for 5hours...Well done you..
Its only worth doing if your final destination is the place you wanted to go...If you travel ten thousand miles and arrive back where you started all youve got is jet lag.
True friends can be apart for years and continue exactly were they left off upon being reunited..
Its as if they never left..
Here you go Fei..
Being great at a Martial art dosnt make you a great person !! that title is far far harder to achieve.. Honesty, compassion, respect and honour. A student without these qualities is no more than a highly trained thug..
If you learn a technique correctly and then spend a year drilling it, thats a years worth of skill aquired..
If you learn a technique incorrectly and train with it all your life, all you've got is faith. Faith isn't enough
Just do everything again another ten thousand times and it should be fine!
seriously though, just cant get enough!......Wing C
All mountains can be conquered eventually.
The road to success is like climbing a mountain, the path before you will be difficult at times. The rewards for reaching the top are beyond measure. Just remember that although your upwards path may be hidden from sight by swirling mist and low clouds.
Remember that we are by your side to show you the forever increasing view. Wing Chun is about the journey not just the destination.
The hardest part of learning somthing new is simply starting in the first place..
